Daily Life
Bryn Edwin Hall Activity coordinators are a well-trained and dedicated team and tailor clubs and activities to suit both the individual and group profiles. Residents are encouraged to continue with hobbies, as well as gain new interests. This is an important part of sustaining and promoting self-esteem, identity and a sense of individuality.
There are a range of clubs with a weekly schedule posted for residents to view at their leisure with both a morning and an afternoon social activity scheduled daily. Residents can join our Bryn Choir, Bryn Bakers Club or Bryn Gardening Club that meet on a regular basis with guest speakers. Live musical performances and meditation events are held on a monthly basis.

We aim to give residents the best quality of life we can offer and ensure they have fulfilling days. Residents are encouraged to become involved in the day to day and would often lend a hand setting the table for lunch or assisting staff in tidying away after an activity. Do not be surprised to see our residents walking around with a duster, as it gives purpose and a sense of belonging and ownership to the individual.
Food & Menus
Bryn Edwin Hall offers a varied menu daily, catered by Apetito. Dietary preferences and requirements are catered for. We specifically cater for ailments such as diabetes, high cholesterol, excessive weight loss or dysphagia conditions.
Food allergies are clearly stated in the care plans and communicated to kitchen staff. Meals served include breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and supper. Residents are given a daily menu and have a choice of meals prepared. Residents and visiting loved ones are light refreshments.
Residents are encouraged to have their meals in one of our lovely dining rooms. The cook accommodates special requests or treats and prepares a birthday cake for a resident’s birthday or other celebrations. Alternatives to menu items are discussed with residents who might not fancy the menu on offer and new suggestions are always welcomed at the resident meetings. Menu tasting events are held by Apetito catering services to add exciting new dishes to the menu.
A two-week rolling menu is served. The menu changes seasonally to provide the residents with fresh ingredients year-round.
Monthly Newsletter
Once a month, our residents enjoy a newsletter detailing all the goings-on at Bryn Edwin Hall. Exciting news about upcoming events and updates around the home is published and made available to residents and their loved ones.
