Wellbeing & Lifestyle Team

The activities and clubs offered at Bryn Edwin Hall aim to give purpose to the residents and ensure a strong connection to the local community continues. The well-being of our residents remains our primary concern, and we want to foster a sense of belonging and fulfillment in their everyday lives.

We know how important a daily routine is and have something to look forward to, whether that is a stroll through the garden or sipping a cup of coffee with a friend. For those that enjoy a more active social life, the clubs are a great way to meet new people and maybe learn a new skill or two while having a good time.

Let’s get moving

Gfitness and Zumba group activities are available weekly. Armchair exercises are available for those that have less mobility but still like to be active. We encourage our residents to maintain a healthy balanced lifestyle.

Bryn Edwin Bakers Club

Come and put an apron on for Bryn Bakers’ Club! Residents enjoy freshly baked bread daily and sweet treats made by our talented Bryn Bakers’ Club.

Bryn Edwin Choir

Come and sing along to the residents’ favourite songs and reminisce about the history of good music.

Bryn Gardening Club

Come and join us and putter around the garden for a bit. Residents enjoy a good tidy up of the flower beds, doing a bit of bird watching or the occasional flower arrangement.

Sunday services

A monthly visit from a local church performs holy communion with our residents. Sunday services are held weekly on a Sunday morning.

Reminiscence & Sensory

Engaging residents in recalling past experiences and memories to create meaningful conversation to foster a sense of connection and comfort.

Bryn Sweet Shop

Residents enjoy a treat from the Bryn Sweet shop weekly, choosing from a selection of sweets.

Weekly Outings

Weekly community outings to familiar local places to foster a sense of connection and belonging within the wider community.

Have a pamper!

Residents enjoy weekly pampering with a hairdresser and an in-house nail salon.

Resident’s Funds

A resident’s funds account has been set up separate from the main account of the home. The purpose of this account is to:

  • Avoid residents having too much cash on them or in their rooms. Next-of-kin are encouraged to pay some funds into this account to enable services like hairdressing, newspapers and chiropody. The funds per individual should never be £0, and next-of-kin will be reminded to top-up when required by a friendly phone call or an account statement.

  • The funds will be used for everyone’s hair appointments, chiropody or any other requirements as per their wish
  • The administrator will keep separate accounts for each resident and provide statements as and when required.
  • The home accountant will audit the funds and separate accounts once a month. All audits are available upon request
  • All collected, raised or donated funds are recorded by the home administrator as per classification. Funds raised, or donated (with the name of donator), through raffles and charitable events, are dated and banked.
  • The spending of these funds is also clearly marked, whether for the benefit of a certain individual or allocated to a group activity or for a group of residents in the home.
