Long term care

Our aim

We strive to deliver high quality personalised care, in a well-appointed residential setting for up to 35 residents.

Our aim is to provide excellent 24-hour care and support for those living with dementia. The home works in close collaboration with residents and families, promoting independence wherever possible.

Care is focused on the resident as an individual, promoting a sense of well-being and fulfilment in a dignified and respectful way. The environment is one of comfort, safety and security, enhancing their quality of life.

Digital documentation of care

All care is documented digitally with Person Centred Software.

Next-of-kin have access to the daily care story, the plan and activities of their loved ones through the Relatives Gateway.

Residents are encourage to take part in the daily decisions of their care and are consulted on a regular basis.

The rooms

The home is divided into two smaller, more personalised living areas with 16 living in the Hamlet (Angharad Suite). This area is purpose-built with the majority of the rooms having en-suite bathrooms.

The House (Edwin Suite) is situated in the main Georgian part of the home with grand high-ceiling rooms and beautiful views of the gardens. A five-person lift enables access throughout the home.

Residents are encouraged to personalise their rooms with photographs, pictures and ornaments. Each room is appropriately furnished and decorated, but space can always be made for personal items, furniture as well. Each individual and communal room has been fitted with a Call Bell System to enable residents to call for assistance day and night.
Each room also has a TV connection and Wi-Fi is available throughout the home.

There are ample bathing and toilet facilities. Care staff are available to assist with individual needs.

The home has a number of small lounges, sitting areas and dining rooms.

Visiting a resident

Bryn Edwin Hall operates an open visiting policy. You may visit any time and any day without appointment. Just ring the bell.

Complimentary refreshments are always available for visitors and you will be welcome to enjoy a meal with your loved one.

Health visitors and medication

Doctors and nurses from Flint will visit Bryn Edwin Hall as required or requested. Upon admission every resident will be registered for care by one of the three local GP practises. Well trained and qualified staff will administer medication as per prescription. Medication prescribed is ordered, collected and received by the senior members of the care team.

We also organise regular visits by chiropodists, dentists and opticians although this is a private arrangement at the residents own cost.
